Jacob Hercamp
Pastor
The Reverend Jacob Hercamp serves as Pastor at Christ Lutheran Church, Noblesville. He was installed on July 16, 2023. Hercamp is a graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), receiving both his Master of Divinity (M.Div, 2016) and Masters of Sacred Theology (STM, 2017). Prior to his call to Christ Lutheran Church, Noblesville, Hercamp served St. Peter Lutheran Church, La Grange, MO.
Pastor Hercamp grew up in northern Jackson County, IN. He is a graduate of Trinity Lutheran High School, Seymour, IN. He graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington before entering Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW). While at seminary, he had the opportunity to study abroad at Westfield House (The House of Theological Studies for the Evangelical Lutheran Church of England), Cambridge, England. After returning from Cambridge, he married Emily. They have been married for 10 years, and the Lord has blessed them with 3 children with number 4 expected in mid November 2024.
Because of his love for the Old Testament and Biblical theology, Pastor Hercamp is pursuing a PhD in Old Testament through Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MBTS) ,Kansas City, in addition to full time pastoral duties at Christ Lutheran Church. He regularly attends and presents short papers at the CTSFW Symposia. He is a monthly guest on KFUO Radio’s Thy Strong Word. Pastor enjoys teaching and preaching the Word of Christ, trusting that the Spirit will work as He has promised to do, creating faith in Christ Jesus, in the hearer (Rom 10:17). In his spare time, Pastor Hercamp enjoys taking advantage of the outdoors through hunting and fishing with family and friends.
