On Good Friday Christ Lutheran Church celebrates the Chief Service. The Passion according to St. John will be read with interspersed stanzas from the hymn O Sacred Head Now Wounded. The Good Friday Service contains some of the Church's most ancient liturgical pieces, particularly The Bidding Prayer and the Reproaches. Holy Communion will be offered. The hymns of the day ensure that the day is understood as a day of triumph because God's faithful know the end of the Story.
